IRS Publication 4687 (Rev. 9-2022) Illustrates the legal requirements of IRC Section 6695 (g) that Paid Preparers meet
four specific Due Diligence Requirements including retaining clients tax returns and all supporting documents for a
minimum 3 years. Failure to do so will result in a minimum $500 penalty for each occurrence.
